About the Author

Sushaantu builds products and writes about defaults — the outcomes that keep happening when no one is choosing.

His curiosity about defaults grew out of everyday work: first through self-taught code, then through years of building interfaces and systems. Over time he noticed the same pattern repeating: what looks like preference is often the persistence of what was already there.

The Default Book emerged from this ongoing observation, not from prescriptive intent. It is meant to help readers notice what usually goes unseen.

He is currently building Surprise Button. He lives in Chile with his wife and a pug named Yuna.
